SAM will record video files first to a temp folder (typically c:\program files\sam systems\server\temp), and then each hour the files are completed and moved to your archive location.

Video will not show in the archive browser or on disk at the normal archive location until a few minutes after the hour, for example, at 4:00 pm the file that stores video from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm will be closed and moved to the proper location.

The split time defaults to one hour but can be set from 15 minutes to 4 hours if needed in SAM Admin.

If the drive fills or the storage limit is reached, SAM will automatically delete the oldest footage to make room for new video.

SAM Core3 FREE is limited to 7 days of 24x7 recording, video older than this will be deleted.
