Software Requirements

The following are various packages that are requirements for SAM applications.  Typically these are included in the installation package for a SAM application and do not need to be separately installed.  They are provided here as a convenience in the event that they must be manually installed.

Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 dotnetfx.exe 22.4 MB
An common application framework that required for all Windows applications provided by SAM.  Also available from windows update.
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime 9.0 vcredist9_x86.exe 1.7 MB
A library package required by many Windows applications written in C++.  Required for SAM Windows applications on certain systems.
Windows Media 11 Runtime wmfdist11.exe 9.4 MB
The Runtime package with codecs for VC-1 and Windows Media, which SAM Coreł is compatible with.  Required to display video encoded as VC-1.
Less commonly needed items:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime 8.0 vcredist_x86.exe 2.6 MB
A library package required by many Windows applications written in C++.  Required for most SAM Windows applications.
Windows Media 9 Codec Package WM9Codecs.exe 1.3 MB
A Codec package required to decode content in the Windows Media 9 format, including some SAM Coreł compressed video. 
Windows Media 9.5 Format Update wmfdist95.exe 5.4 MB
Updates to the Windows Media format required for newer versions of some codecs, including Microsoft VC-1.
Microsoft VC-1 Codec Install wvc1dmo.exe 0.9 MB
The Codec package required to decode Microsoft VC-1, the latest compression format available, which SAM Coreł is compatible with.
